Planning Travel and Traveling During The Pandemic
Your safety and well-being are our highest priority. As we face unprecedented times, we’d like to keep you informed of how we are responding to the situation brought on by COVID-19. Please visit the links below for our latest resort openings, enhanced policies and general FAQs.
1. Where Can You Go?
There are very few destinations that are closed to travelers right now. Each state / country has its own protocols and processes and I check those for you as part of your planning process.
2. How have the rules for each element of your vacation changed?
Right now the rules are a bit more flexible in terms of change fees and cancellations. In spite of these rules, here’s the good news; as a travel advisor I’m reading through all of them and I’m able to advise you when you are ready to book your next vacation.
3. How has pricing changed?
Several airlines currently have bargains on flights because fewer people are traveling, there are fewer seats and some airlines have grounded flights because of these conditions. Yet, some airlines have steep pricing because of those very same conditions.
4. What if my vacation is cancelled?
Cancellations can depend on a number of things; travel suppliers may impose a cancellation, or we might enter into a ‘stay at home’ status because of Covid-19 or if Marshall Law would come into play. Whichever the case, you have my support in working through resolving whatever might arise.
5. Flexible travel – how do cancellations and changes work?
Having trip insurance to cover your vacation in the event something should occur, my relationship with travel suppliers, allows for options to change your travel dates, receive vouchers for future travel, or a refund.
6. What support do I have before, during and after travel?
I will make sure you’re fully prepared for your departure by keeping you up to date with important destination information and travel advice. You’ll receive travel documents which will make getting to your destination and checking in a total breeze. We’ll have one last pre-departure call where we’ll go over your travel documents, walk you through your itinerary and answer any lingering questions.
Once you depart, as your travel advisor, I will still be “with you” – reach out by phone, text or email if you encounter any travel hiccups and I’l work to smooth them over.
